Author: The star of The Blind Side, Sandra Bullock spends only $50,000 on her lace Marchesa gown. The 46 year old actress ordered her dress to be made by Aldo Terlato Coutur. The Melbourne fashion house made a conscious effort to drop the A-list price tag to make it affordable for everyday wear.

Designers these days are making deliberate efforts to avoid marketing pricy dresses for common women who want to shine like an Academy star but cant afford to do so.
This new red carpet trend was aided by award wining actresses like Sandra Bullock who dress up at the grand events in modest attires. Sandra Bullock reached at the climax of her career in 1990s after successfully starring in movies like Speed ,While you were sleeping, Miss Congeniality and Crash. She is ranked as the 14th richest female celebrity with an estimated fortune of $85 million. Sandra Bullock was reported to get back to her normal life in a jeans and baggy top just one week after the grand night. She lives with her husband Jesse and stepdaughter daughter, Sunny in Seal Beach, California. The dummy of her Oscar dress will be sold for a humble price of $5500.
