The star of The Blind Side, Sandra Bullock spends only $50,000 on her lace Marchesa gown. The 46 year old actress ordered her dress to be made by Aldo Terlato Coutur. The Melbourne fashion house made a conscious effort to drop the A-list price tag to make it affordable for everyday wear.

Designers these days are making deliberate efforts to avoid marketing pricy dresses for common women who want to shine like an Academy star but cant afford to do so.
