Michael R. Bloomberg New York City Mayor has announced thaton Friday, yankees will be honored for their World Series victory with a ticker-tape parade down the Canyon of Heroes, beginning at 11 a.m. ET.
The route for the parade will began from Broadway at Battery Place and will continue northbound to Chambers Street, with showers of confetti bathing Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and the rest of the world champions all the way.
The march for victory will also be followed by a ceremony at City Hall Plaza. The mayor plans to present manager Joe Girardi’s Yankees with keys to the city for their defeat of the Phillies in the six-game Fall Classic. 
Bloomberg said, “Congratulations to the Yankees for bringing the world championship back home to New York City, where it belongs. The Yankees have thrilled the city all year long with their come-from-behind victories and never-say-die attitude, and they did it again in the World Series.
