WHY IT RATES: Experience Holidays New Orleans Style with exclusive offers, special deals and one-of-a-kind light shows. --Janeen Christoff, TravelPulse Managing Editor
During the month of December hotels across New Orleans are offering travel advisors special rates and exclusive offers from our hospitality community, through New Orleans & Company's Holiday Travel Advisor FAM.
Experience Holidays New Orleans Style, like you never have before with the annual, one-of-a-kind technological, light display event known as Luna Fete. Visitors can also stop by the special, month-long light show, Celebration in the Oaks in City Park. There, you can take in the view of hundreds of thousands of colorful lights and illuminated outdoor displays strung across City Park's centuries-old live oak trees to showcase the holiday season in New Orleans.
"The holidays in New Orleans are an experience like no other," says Kim Priez, senior vice president of tourism at New Orleans & Company. "It is the perfect time of year for travel agents to visit and enjoy the great deals and holiday spirit while learning more about New Orleans and all that the city has to offer, during the holidays and year-round."
Holiday festivities also include multicourse pre-fixed Réveillon dinners at world-renowned restaurants, a wealth of local shopping for holiday gifts, Caroling in Jackson Square and NOLA Christmas Fest. While taking advantage of hotel rates during the Holiday FAM, travel advisors can also request a VIP Pass to use during their stay. The pass provides travel professionals exclusive access to discounts and special offers at restaurants, museums, and other popular attractions around New Orleans.
